27.5. Scheduling Guides on Trips
To schedule guides on trips, you can either go to the individual trip and schedule guides just for that specific trip or you can schedule guides for multiple upcoming trips by going to the "Trips" menu and choosing "Guides".
Let's look at scheduling guides for individual trips first. To schedule guides for a specific trip, go to the trip's "View Trip" page and click the "Schedule Guides" button.
On the "Schedule Guides" page, Arctic will show you all of the guides that are currently available for scheduling as well as their previous scheduled commitment and their next scheduled commitment.
To schedule a guide just click the check box next to their name. Once you have selected all of the guides you wish to schedule for the trip click "Schedule Guides" to save your changes.
To schedule guides for multiple upcoming trips, go to the "Trips" menu and choose "Guides". Here you will be able to quickly view guide and guest counts to identify any trips needing modifications and to easily make changes to the schedule. To schedule for a specific trip in the upcoming trip list shown, click the "Schedule" button at the end of the trip's row.
When you click the "Schedule" button, Arctic will show you all of the guides available for scheduling as well as their previous scheduled commitment and their next scheduled commitment.
Again, to schedule a guide for the trip, click the checkbox next to their name and click the "Schedule Guides" button. Once the guides are scheduled, Arctic will return you to the scheduling page where it will add the names of the guides you have scheduled to the trip you just scheduled.

Note: By default, Arcitc orders the guides on the guide scheduling page by last name however, you have the ability to tell Arctic to sort the guides by first name, if you prefer. To change the sort order, go to the "Settings" page under "Guide Schedule" and click the "Pencil" icon next to "Sort Guides By" as shown here:
On the "Configure" page, choose your preference then click "Save Setting" to save your changes.

You can also view which guides have been scheduled for a specific trip by clicking the "Guide" tab on the "View Trip" page.
