18.6. Applying Email Designs to Email Templates

You can apply your new design to existing email templates or to a new email template. To apply the email design to a new template, go to the "Email" menu and choose "Templates". On the "Browse Templates" page, choose the appropriate business group for your new email template, then click either the green "+ Setup Template" button or the green "+ Add Alternative Template" button. On the "Create a New Template" page, give your email template a name, then choose your new design from the "Design" drop down menu.  

Once the design has been chosen enter a "Subject" and "Sender", then create the body of your email. Once you are done, click "Submit" to save your new email template with your new email design. (See the "Creating Email Templates" section of this chapter for more information on creating email templates.)

Note: If you are creating a email template for a specific business group and do not see your new design in the "Design" drop down menu, then your new design was not assigned to this business group. To fix this you will need to edit the business group on either your design or on your email template.  

If you want to apply your new design to an existing email template, go to the "Email" menu and choose "Templates". On the "Browse Templates" page, locate the email template you want to add the new design to, then click the "Edit" icon next to the email template's name. On the "Update Template" page, choose the new design from the "Design" drop down menu and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit" to save your changes.
