1.4. Step 3: Tax Rates
If you charge sales tax, you should setup your tax rates for the system. Arctic Reservations supports multiple tax rates (for outfitters operating in multiple counties or states, or whenever multiple taxes apply to a service, such as tourism tax, lodging tax etc.).
To setup tax rates, go to "Settings" page under "Invoicing" choose "Manage Tax Rates" by clicking the "Pencil" icon. This will take you to the "Browse Tax Rates" page where you can create multiple tax rates.
Once you have created the tax rates that apply to your business, you can tell Arctic which rates are charged by default for each transaction you process through Arctic. To set default tax rates go to "Settings" page and under "Invoicing" choose "Default Tax Rates" by clicking the "Pencil" icon. This will take you to the "Default Tax Rates" page where you can tell Arctic which of the tax rates that you created are charged by default. You can leave this blank if you do not have any taxes that are charged for every type of transaction you process.
