28.14. Example Filter: Billing Statements for Agents

In this section, we will illustrate the filters to use to create a billing statement for an agent for whom the "Who Pays" is set to agent and who owes you payments for a given period of time.

These statements are helpful, if you prefer to calculate commissions based on payments but also need to easily provide your agents with a statement of unpaid invoices. These statements are like the commission reports and have to be generated per individual agent.

These filters should be created using the "Browse Invoices" page. (For more detailed information on using filters to run reports, see the "Using Filters on the "Browse" pages" section in the "Reports" chapter of the support documentation.)

Here are the filters you can use:

If the agent is not listed by their company name, you will need to alter the above filters to use the First Name and Last Name for the "Person" as shown here:

These filters will give you any invoices that do not have a 0.00 balance with payments during the date range specified for the specific company or person shown. For these filters the default view for the "Browse Invoice" page (shown below) works well and doesn't need to be altered unless you want to add information you feel is needed or remove anything you feel is unnecessary.

When the results are generated, you can then export the results to an excel file by click the "Export" button at the top of the page as shown here:

Once the results are exported you can use excel to tabulate the "Balance" and "Payment Amount Due" columns so your agents can easily see what their total balance is for the invoices that had payments due during the date range the report was generated and how much is actually due at the moment.

This completes the Booking Agent chapter, if you have any questions about any of the booking agent features, please feel free to contact support and we will be happy to help.
