11.4. Browse Inquiries

You can quickly access inquiries for people or trips via the guest's "View Person" record, or a trip's "View Trip" page and going to the "Inquiries" tab as shown here.

The inquiries shown when accessed from a guest's "View Person" page will only be inquiries made by that specific guest and the inquiries shown when accessed from a trip's "View Trip" page will only be inquiries made for that specific trip & date.

For more flexibility, you can access the general "Browse Inquiries" page. To get to the "Browse Inquiries" page, drop down one of the menus in the left navigation bar and click "Inquiries", or click the blue "Inquiries" text in the widget on the dashboard.

The "Browse Inquiries" page has a number of handy tools including filter reports, exports, and the ability to print labels along the top navigation buttons.

You can filter the list of inquiries as with other pages in Arctic. For more information, check out the "Reports" chapter of the documentation.

The "Print Labels" option is useful if you use inquiries to track guests who request marketing materials regarding your trips. The "Print Labels" options will only include labels for guests visible given the current filters. So you can first "filter" for those inquiries where a brochure or mailing is appropriate. Once the results appear, then you can click the "Print Labels" button. Arctic will generate mailing labels for all of the guests matching the current set of filters. There are several ways to track guests who may require a brochure or mailing including adding a custom backend field that you could use in a filter, or by adding specific text to the "Notes" field. If you would like to use Arctic for this feature and need help figuring out how to configure it for your needs, contact support and we will be happy to help.

In the next section we will explore using the inquiries feature as a waitlist for guests.
