13.5. Splitting Guests Into a Separate Reservation
Occasionally, it is necessary to be able to move a single guest out of a large reservation into a reservation of his/her own. For these instances, Arctic offers you the ability to split an individual guest into a separate reservation. When splitting a guest into a new reservation, all information already collected (including registration and online waivers) will be preserved and moved to their new reservation.
To split a guest into her/his own reservation, in the "Tool" menu next, click "Split to new reservation".
After clicking "Split to new reservation", Arctic will take you to a confirmation page to be sure you want to split the guest from the reservation. If you are sure you wish to move the selected guest from the reservation, click "Continue."
When the split is complete, Arctic will take you to the reservation details page for the new split reservation.reservation.
As mentioned above, the guest's completed registration information and waiver have been moved to the new reservation.
Note that by default, the new reservation still has the same primary customer and is still on the same invoice as the original reservation. You can optionally edit the new reservation if you want to change the primary customer or move it to its own invoice. From the edit reservation page, you can change the primary customer, the bill to customer and the invoice. This is helpful if the guest will now be in charge of their own reservation (the primary customer) or if they will be paying separately.
If the guest needs to move to a different trip date or trip as well, when editing their reservation to give them their own invoice, you can also edit the trip selection at the same time. Once all of the necessary changes have been made, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit" to save your changes.
Group Mode Reservations
If you split a guest that is part of a group mode reservation, they will be placed in a new reservation still contained within the same group mode reservation.
