30.10. Booking Links
Arctic provides booking links for all of your business groups, trip types, individual trips and rental items that you have selected to make available online. There are three places you can access booking links. The first access point for booking links for your trip types and rental items by going to either the "Browse Trip Types" or the "Browse Rental Items" pages and clicking the blue "Globe" buttons next to the trip types or rental items you have made available online.
When you click the blue "Globe" buttons, the link for that specific trip type or rental item will be displayed in a popup window. To provide the links to your web designer you will simply copy the link displayed and paste it into an email for your designer or if you are publishing the links on your website paste the link into the button or page you wish to add it to.
Also in the link popup window, you will see a link that say "Visit Now". Clicking the "Visit Now" link will take you to the guest-facing site page for the link clicked so you can see what is displayed on the page and how it will look to your guests.
Note: To close the link popup window, simply click the blue "Globe" again.
The second access point for getting booking links for your trip types, rental items and business groups is to go to the "Browse Landing Pages" pages. The "Browse Landing Pages" pages are found by going to the "Settings" page under "Online Reservations" or "Online Rentals" and clicking the "Pencil" icon next to "Manage Landing Pages".
Note: When it says there are zero landing pages, it means there are zero "Custom Landing Pages". It is not counting built-in landing pages for items/trips that have online booking/inquiries enabled.
On the "Browse Landing Pages" page, the page is divided into two columns. In the "Built-in Landing Pages" column at the right of the page, you will see a list of all of your business groups and trip types available for online booking, if you accessed the page from the "Online Reservations" section of the "Settings" page. Or you will see a list of all of your business groups and rental items available for online booking, if you accessed the page from the "Online Rentals" section of the "Settings" page. These links are automatically generated by Arctic for you based on the business groups, trip types and rental items, you have made available for online booking.
Also on the "Browse Landing Pages" page in the "Custom Landing Pages" column, you will see a list of all of the "Custom Landing Pages" you have set up in the system. (We will discuss creating custom landing pages in the next section.)
The "Built-in Landing Pages" also offer you the ability to do some small customizations. You can edit the "name" of the pages. If you are working with the landing pages accessed through the "Online Reservations" section of the "Settings" page, you can alter your preferred "Booking Interface". (For more information about the "Booking Interface" click here.) You can also add a page header if you would like.
To make customizations to the "Built-in Landing Pages" simply click the "Edit" icon next to the landing page name.
The last access point where you can get booking links is on the "View Trip" pages for any specific trip dates on your calendar that are available for online booking. To access the links go to the "View Trip" page for the trip and date you would like and click the "Online Booking Link" button.
Note: When you click the "Online Booking Link" button, Arctic will open the link in a new tab. You can get the link by copying the url out of the "address bar" of your web browser. Trip specific links are great if you have a special trip you want to promote, i.e. a special 4th of July trip or a special Yoga retreat.
In the next section, we will discuss how to create and use "Custom Landing Pages".
