1.1. Important New Sender Requirements for Gmail & Yahoo!

Gmail & Yahoo! are implementing some new email sender requirements as part of their efforts to offer better security for their users. Google has said these requirements will come online in February of 2024 and Yahoo! is projecting they will be online for their users by the end of the first quarter of 2024 (March 2024).

It is likely that other mail providers will adopt similar requirements as time go on.

While all of this can sound intimidating, meeting the new sender requirements is not difficult. You will need to reach out to your web person/web host to get these changes made but they are not hard for either your web person or web host to implement.

All that is needed to ensure the emails sent to your guests through Arctic are successfully delivered to your Gmail and Yahoo! mail guests and are not classified as SPAM is to have set up a SPF and DKIM on your email domain as well as implementing a DMARC policy.

Currently Gmail is implementing the strongest stance on these policies and if you do not have them implemented they have said the emails will be either rejected from the inbox or classed as SPAM.

Again you will need to implement all three, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, to ensure your emails are reaching your guests.

To help you get these things set up we can provide you with all the information you would need to send to your web person/web host, all you need to do is contact us
