12.1. Using Tasks

Arctic Reservations has a fantastic Task Feature that will allow you to generate and track tasks for staff members and will also allow you to generate Trip Type or Trip specific tasks (i.e., tasks that are linked to a specific trip). Arctic will also help users keep track of the tasks by putting them in either a user specific "to do list" on the Dashboard where only the tasks assigned to that User will show. And from the "Browse Tasks" page, users can see a more general "to do list" for all of the upcoming tasks regardless of assignment. Using the Task Feature will allow Arctic to help you stay on top of the myriad of minutia that help your tours run smooth.


There are two sides to the Tasks Feature in Arctic. The first one allows you to create tasks for your employees as they come up whether they are related to a specific Trip Type or Trip or if they are about business in general. The second side allows you to create tasks automatically for a specific Trip Type that will be proliferated throughout your Calendar. The "Trip Task Module" will help you create these repetitive tasks in bulk without having to remember to create them for each Trip, saving you lots of time and helping to reduce the risk of mishaps with permits, gear, or any of the other small details necessary for the tour.
