7.4. Assigning Evaluations to Trip Types & Rentals
After you have successfully created the Evaluation Forms you wish to use, the next step is to assign them to the appropriate trip types or rental business groups so that Arctic knows which evaluation to use for the guests going on each of your trips and which evaluation to use for the various aspects of your rental business.
To assign an evaluation to a trip type, go to the "Trips" menu and choose "Types". On the "Browse Trip Types" page, click the "Edit" icon next to the trip type you wish to add an evaluation to. This will take you to the "Update Trip Type" page. On the "Update Trip Type" page, click the "Forms" tab and choose the appropriate evaluation from the "Evaluation" drop down menu as shown here:
Once you have chosen the appropriate evaluation, click the "Submit" button to save your changes. If you have existing trips on your Calendar for this trip type, make sure you allow Arctic to update your existing trips to be sure these trips get the evaluation assignment.
You will have to update each trip type you have to assign them the appropriate evaluation.
Rental evaluations are assigned per business group. You can use different forms for each business group and Arctic will make sure that each rental created in each business group is assigned the appropriate evaluation. For instance, if you have a "Rental" parent business group with "Lodging" and "Equipment" sub-business groups and you assign a "Lodging Evaluation" to the "Lodging" business group and a "Equipment Evaluation" to the "Equipment" business group, anytime a guest makes a rental for items containted in the "Lodging" business group, Arctic will ask the guests to complete the "Lodging Evaluation". The same applies to rentals made in the "Equipment" business group. Arctic will ask the guests to complete the "Equipment Evaluation". If you have a guest who makes a rental that contains items from both the "Lodging" business group and the "Equipment" business group, this rental will be assigned to the "Rental" parent business group. In this case, Arctic would only ask the guests to complete an evaluation if the "Rental" parent business group also has an evaluation assigned to it. It will be up to you to decide if you want to create a "General Rental Evaluation" for these instances or if you prefer to only collect evaluation responses from guests in a specific business group. (See the next section for more information on sending evaluation requests to your guests.)
To assign an evaluation to a business group for your rentals, go to the "Settings" page and choose the business group you want from the "Business Group" drop down menu in the blue box at the top of the screen. Once you have selected the business group and Arctic has refreshed the page, go to the "Rentals" section and click the "Pencil" icon next to "Evaluation" as shown here:
On the "Configure Evaluation" page, click the drop down menu in the "Evaluation" field and choose the evaluation you want to assign to the rentals in the business group you selected on the "Settings" page. Then click "Save Setting" to save your changes.
You will need to do this for each business group you wish to assign a rental evaluation to.
